Achievements work like mini-quests. Each one pays roughly 2,000 to 10,000 XP depending on how hard it is, and you can track your progress in the profile menu. New players can level very quickly by working through them.
Mining
Collect 20 to 100 different kinds of items, mine 250 to 1,000 ores and minerals, and log 100 to 500 trees. Scavenger (mine 20 different kinds of items) is the easiest early achievement.
Exploration
Discover 100 to 500 unexplored areas, reach bedrock, or find different mushroom types.
Building
Craft 20 to 100 items, vote on landmarks (25 to 100) and receive votes on your own landmarks (100 to 500).
Dungeons and utility
Loot containers, defeat dungeon protectors and repair teleporters. Most achievements come in tiers, so you can keep earning from the same category.
The original game had 54 achievements as of 2016. The revived game adds new content, so expect the list to differ.
